3. Make it fun!
In this module, we focus on one of the most powerful aspects of CLIL teaching: making learning engaging, active, and enjoyable for young learners. While careful planning and appropriate materials are essential, meaningful learning happens when students are actively involved in the process. By combining content, language, and creativity, CLIL lessons can become dynamic experiences that support understanding, motivation, and confidence.
In this introduction, we explore how fun and learning work together in the CLIL classroom. We present a range of practical strategies — such as games, music, Total Physical Response (TPR), drama, and hands-on activities — that help transform lessons into interactive and memorable experiences. The aim is to show how these approaches can bring energy and creativity into your teaching, turning your classroom into a space where students actively engage with both content and language.
