2. Let’ Start!

Where does a project begin? With two choices that everything else depends on: the topic and the driving question.

In this module, you’ll learn what makes a topic strong, how to choose one that fits your students and your school and how to write a driving question that really works. Then, with three short activities, you’ll go from a sample project to the first ideas for your own.

Don’t worry if it takes time. Ideas often grow slowly, and then all at once. Let them grow, then cut the branches you don’t need: a good project needs focus, not lots of ideas.
